Meters and materials to meet each power generation client’s specific needs
For nearly three decades, we have provided the power generation industry—conventional and nuclear—with a range of flow measurement equipment to give each client the optimum solution for each application. With a variety of types and numerous choices of materials, all our meters share two key characteristics: high accuracy and high reliability.
Classical Venturi PFS-CV (line size from 1.0” through 180”)
This meter is designed to measure full pipe clean gasses, or liquids over various temperature and/or pressure ranges, especially for high temperature and high
pressure steam or water associated with power generation. We manufacture in accordance with the applicable ASME and/or Fluid Meters, 6th Edition, codes and practices.
Features:
Halmi Venturi HVT-FV (line size from 1.0” through 180”)
The HVT-FV is designed to measure full pipe clean gasses, or liquids over various temperature and/or pressure ranges, especially for high temperature and high pressure
steam or water associated with power generation. We offer this design as a fully fabricated element with a broad range of materials, beta ratio(s) and end treatments
(flanged, mechanical, beveled for in-line welding) or any other configuration the application requires.
Features:
ASME flow nozzles PFS-FN (line sizes from 2” through 25”)
We manufactured these nozzles in accordance with ASME MFC-3M-2004 in 300-series stainless steel for most applications due to the high velocities and extreme
environments to which they are exposed. Other materials are available for extreme temperatures and corrosive service.
Features:
ASME flow nozzle PTC-6 (line sizes from 4” through 24”)
These nozzles meet the ASME PTC-6 1996, Performance Test Code for Steam Turbines requirements and are intended
to be the primary flow measurement device for steam turbine acceptance testing. Test sections consist of a low-beta series ASME throat-tap flow nozzle that is installed
in a section of pipe approximately 30 diameters long. The upstream section of pipe, which is approximately 20 diameters long, is carefully honed on the inside to insure
cylindricality/finish for a minimum of four pipe diameters upstream of the nozzle. The downstream section of pipe is approximately 10 pipe diameters long. A flow conditioner
is built into the upstream pipe section at a distance of approximately 16 pipe diameters upstream of the flow nozzle.
Design standards:
All our primary PTC-6 flow sections are designed in accordance with the applicable sections of the following standards.
