Industry-Leading, Customizable dP Flow Transmitters

Differential pressure (dP) transmitters are precision instruments designed to measure the high and low pressure signals generated by a dP flow meter and convert them into a standardized 4–20 mA signal. This signal can be read directly as differential pressure or, with square root extraction enabled, expressed as flow rate.

Key Advantages of dP Transmitters:

  • High Accuracy – Capable of measuring differential pressures as low as 0.1″ wc with reliable repeatability.
  • Application Flexibility – Available for differential, gauge, and absolute pressure measurement, with options for materials, indicators, and electrical certifications.
  • Ease of Maintenance – Typically paired with a 3-valve or 5-valve manifold, simplifying setup, zeroing, and removal for service or replacement.
  • Process Adaptability – For dirty or viscous fluids, seals and capillaries protect against line plugging, while multivariable models compensate for changes in temperature and pressure in gas applications.
  • Integration Ready – Designed to interface seamlessly with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other automation controls for process visibility and efficiency.
Differential Pressure Transmitter

Compared to other flow measurement accessories, dP transmitters deliver a versatile, highly accurate solution that supports a broad range of fluid applications including water, wastewater, air, steam, oil, viscous liquids, and gases.

Applications

Water & Wastewater Treatment

dP transmitters are widely used in municipal and industrial water systems to monitor and control flow in filtration, distribution, and treatment processes. Their precision ensures accurate measurement in applications ranging from clean water to sludge handling.

Industrial Processes

In industrial settings, dP transmitters provide reliable flow measurement for process liquids, steam, and compressed air. Their adaptability makes them ideal for operations handling viscous or dirty fluids, especially when paired with seals and capillaries.

Power & Energy

Power plants rely on dP transmitters for monitoring steam, cooling water, and chemical feed lines. With the ability to deliver accurate readings under variable conditions, they support safe, efficient, and cost-effective energy production.

Oil & Gas

From upstream extraction to refining and distribution, dP transmitters are essential for measuring liquid and gas flows under demanding conditions. Multivariable transmitters further improve accuracy by compensating for temperature and pressure changes.
