Although PFS often recommends replacing aging Venturi flow primaries with new high-performing HVT flow meters, budgets do not always allow for full unit replacement.
To bridge that gap, PFS created the Meter Rehabilitation Program to restore existing meters to their original operating specifications. Venturi primaries are durable by design, and their straightforward construction makes them well-suited for expert rehabilitation. Done correctly, rehabilitation can recover performance and accuracy at a fraction of replacement cost, often in just a few days.
Common problems addressed by the PFS Rehabilitation Program:
- Plugging of impulse taps
- Plating, corrosion, or scaling of interior surfaces
- Contaminated flow primaries
Depending on meter size and site conditions, Venturi meters can be rehabilitated in the field or at a factory. Flanged insert-style meters and meters made from uncommon materials can often be restored. For every project, PFS develops clear technical specifications to define scope and protect quality.
