Automotive flow meters are used to measure a variety of fluids in the automotive industry including oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and gases in various stages. EGR gases are a common application for a differential pressure device and PFS has successfully developed numerous custom-designed units for this function.
Automotive engines are required to incorporate an emissions-control system called EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) in order to reduce their output of NOx. The ongoing development of these devices aims to reduce or eliminate their impact on engine performance – particularly in turbo-charged diesel engines.
